Work description and art-historical context
The images arise from nocturnal urban spaces in which the functional order of things begins to dissolve. Reflections on wet asphalt, diffuse light sources, and fleeting glimmers transform the city into an open field of perception. A peculiar light emerges - The Light in the depths - without a clear origin, without a fixed destination. It settles over the scene like a memory that knows no definite source. The images do not fix a moment but a condensation, in which time stretches and meaning remains suspended.
