Work description and art-historical context
The work reduces the world to its elemental appearances: light, shadow, and ground. Seen at close range, the motif appears intimate, almost incidental. Yet the longer the gaze lingers, the more a spatial and temporal indeterminacy begins to unfold. Scales shift, orientation loses its certainty. The image moves along the threshold between micro- and macrocosm, allowing a world to emerge that resists localization. It points toward something that lies beyond the visible—not as sign or symbol, but as a quiet, open experience of being.
